In 2020, Wilton Company consulted with Chanda Smart and Shabnam Mashmasarmi to create a development company focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion. This lead Wilton company to pull together the teams to respond to public request for proposals for affordable housing developments within the City of Boston, The City of Newton, Martha’s Vineyard, and Foxborough, MA.
Through direct consultation and mentoring, Wilton Company lead The Onyx Group to the successful award of their first affordable housing development project, and also served as a development partner.
The projects developed and assembled by Wilton company for the Onyx Group have been featured in the Boston Globe, Banker and Tradesmen, CBS Boston, Baystate banner among sever other reputable publications.
The Onyx Group Development company has since been awarded a $1.5B project, and other notable developments, and their founders continue to be leaders in their community.
